I ask that he and his family be lifted up in prayer! I cannot even begin to wrap my mind around the emotions and reality their family is going through! Jon's wife is an inspiration to all for her devoted faith. Here is what she had to say on their caring bridge site this afternoon:

We received the test results back from the brain activity scan. The results showed that Jon has irreversible damage to his brain. The doctors said that the brain stem is dead. He is still ventilated and can be until I say otherwise, so I continue to believe that God can still work in Jon miraculously.
The doctors said that this was very unexpected and happened very rapidly. There was nothing they could do to prevent it. Although discouraging, I continue to stand in faith that Jon can be healed until God decides his fate. I utterly rely on the Lord and am calling out to all prayer warriors to come in agreement with me that Jon will be miraculously healed. We are desperate for Jesus and HE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE!
Back in December, I made the mistake of saying "I hope God doesn't bring us to a Lazarus situation." But it appears that He has, and I put complete trust in Him and know that HE IS FAITHFUL.
There are many who are coming to lay hands on Jon tonight and I pray that God will move through these hands like a river of life. We'll update you when this is going to happen so you may join us in prayer.
God Bless,
Stacie

Its Monday - where did the weekend go? It was SO nice to have my mom here for the weekend. We got to go out on a double date and she cleaned my house...what more could I ask for? I wish she would sit still and be a guest, but its not in her nature to do that. It was a great time. I had a dr appointment at 7:30 this morning and I am amazed that there are so many people out and about early on. I am used to my commute from my bedroom to the kitchen. I am happy that I do not have to get up early to do my hair, makeup and pull together a fancy outfit. My clients don't seem to mind the sweat suits and ponytails:) Cole is now waving his finger at us when we say "no, no." He lets us know what he thinks of being told no! Carter cannot get enough of his bike right now, so we are going out on many walks lately. I hope the weather allows us to get outside today again.

Today I dropped carter off at preschool at spoke with his favorite classmate's mom. She told me that she recently found out she has stage three breast cancer. I did everything I could to compose myself as she shared her story. I got in my truck and cried. I don't understand cancer and how it always seems to happen to such amazing people. I tried to put myself in her shoes and cannot begin to imagine the emotions she and her family are going through! She is very positive and thankful it is not stage four. I pray that anyone reading this will keep Gretchen in your prayers! It has put things back into perspective for me today. The little things that have been stressing me out seem so silly right now. I pray that we all appreciate what we have and who we have! God is awesome and provides what we need when we need it.

The past few weeks have gone by super fast! I am excited for this season of American Idol. Corey has decided not to be a fan this year, which I will miss having my viewing partner. Oh well....his loss:) I do have to admit we have been bowling four times since January, which is more than the past ten to fifteen years combined. We are loving it and Carter loves it too! He will knock down a few pins and say "that's what I am talking about." Pretty funny to see.
We our getting closer to putting our house on the market and it makes me excited and a bit nervous to find our new home. We are willing to do some work on the next one as long as there is SPACE. We would love more space. I know we will find the right one when the time is right..I just wish the time was right now:)
This month I have been in the doctor's office more than I wanted to with Cole. His ears cannot fight the infection, so we have been shifting medications back and forth. Yesterday my day started with Carter throwing up and Cole having hives again (apparently, he is allergic to Penicillin like Carter). While waiting for Cole's new medicine, Carter could not help it and threw up all over in the Target cart and on my groceries. I am thankful that I was a light shopper that day. He is doing better this afternoon after a bodily episode that happened (GROSS). I will spare the details.

We finally decided its time to put our house on the market! We would like a larger home with an attached garage. My biggest luxury would be a laundry room on the main floor. We will see what we can find. I always get nervous about selling our home faster than expected and becoming homeless, but that would be better than two mortgages. It feels like the right time, so I pray all goes smoothly. The kids seem to be all better and the first round of sickness has passed for the winter. I am hoping we luck out and that will be it for the year:) I am excited to hang out with our families this weekend. Tomorrow I will be heading to the Green Mill in Willmar with my family and Saturday spend the day with Corey's side. I am SO excited to spend some more time with my nieces and nephew. It will be nice to get away this weekend instead of projects around the house. I painted the hallway an off white and Corey rebuilt a wall in the basement and painted it. He also replaces some the ceiling that he accidentally ruined when remodeling the kitchen above that spot. I am hoping our new home will be mostly updated or that we win the lottery and can pay someone to remodel it all! Joanna - you know any one that we could hire? :)

We are surviving the cold/flu season with several tissues and lots of rest (as much as possible with little ones). Carter and Cole both have ear infections, but seem to be feeling much better the past few days. Our downstairs bathroom is finally finished! Corey just needs to hang the curtain and its done! I will have to post a picture when he does that. Carter and I looked at what seemed to be simple instructions to hang a curtain rod, but after a minute or two I decided to let Corey handle it. I get easily frustrated with simple tasks that involve measurements and tools. Corey will be out of town for the next few days, so its me and my little boys..should be fun. Carter takes a field trip tomorrow to a nursing home where his preschool class will sing Love themed songs for Valentines. Its always fun to see a group of antsy three and four year olds shouting out some tunes.

I am staying true to my word and remembering to blog at least once week - yeah me:)
My baby is going to be 10 months old tomorrow and I am in disbelief! I truly cannot believe it. I feel like Cole should be four months old, but it is fun to see his personality develop. Develop? He had a strong personality from the moment he arrived! He was screaming when he was born and stands strong ever since...wonder which one of us he got that from?
Carter is sick with a nasty cold and had his first high fever of 103. He is enjoying the day resting in front of the TV watching cartoons.
Corey made fried chicken from scratch yesterday and it was quite tasty! I am happy we don't live in the south and eat and abundant amount of fried food. Its good every once in awhile, but all the time would get gross. I better get to my gourmet meal of Schwans sweet and sour chicken (Mondays tend to be easy cooking nights).

Tseganesh is here! We got to meet and hold her....she is beautiful and full of smiles! It was so cool to meet her and see the proud mommy and daddy. She was snuggled in Shellys' arms as they entered the baggage area - Tseganesh was so content and gazed at her mommy with the biggest brown eyes. I am SO happy for them. Yeah, I am an auntie again. As we were waiting for them at the airport, a sweet woman came up to me to say hi....it was Kari Burke! I have not seen her for years (like 10 or 11). It was great to see her! Small world. She was waiting for her in-laws to fly in from Norway and I was waiting for my family to fly in from Ethiopia. What are the chances to run into her, but I am so glad I did.

My children...what can I say? I can say that today is one of those days that Carter and Cole had a secret meeting to drive me nuts. They have not been successful as of yet, but are well on their way! Carter is debating EVERY issue (nothing new, but more so than normal). Cole is completely fine and melting down every half an hour or so. They are so cute, but today they are stinkers. My day has been filled with errands and random business. I am getting to be really good friends with customer service staff from Verizon Wireless and my Osterizer (my food processor of 3 weeks broke). They have been very helpful, but I still prefer to have conversations with my girlfriends vs customer service. Oh well, tomorrow is soon here and its going to be a wonderful day! We get to meet Tseganesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled and pray their flight and bonding go well.

Its Friday and I am so excited for the weekend. A little bowling with some friends tomorrow night to celebrate my hubby's 30th and then a baby blessing for Cole at Church on Sunday.
I can't help but think of how wonderful the baby blessings are at our church. Several mothers will each share a prayer/blessing and continue to pray for him, which means a lot to me. The power of prayer is so amazing and it works! God knows our heart and is listening. I am in awe of the devoted Christians that are praying for Jon Schroeder and thankful to God answering their prayers. He is listening!!!!!! I pray that Jon will make a full recovery and hope that it is soon. I can't imagine what their family is feeling and going through. My prayers will continue to be with them!
Lenny and Michelle met their daughter today and everything is "Surreal" as Michelle says. I can't imagine the emotions they are feeling with that situation either. I guess she is one month younger than they thought, so she is 8 months. I know its crazy, but would you expect anything different from me? :) I am making a vow to myself to blog at least once a week from now on. I wish I had more time and interest in computers. I love reading other people's blogs, so I should keep mine a bit interesting for those who check mine. Christmas has come and gone already. Each year seems to go faster than the last one. I am liking the holidays more and more now that the boys are starting to get older. Carter is almost four and that amazes me. Cole is already nine months and I have a hard time accepting that...he is my baby soon to be toddler. I am excited to see who they become as little men. They are very different already, so it will be neat to see how much they are alike in the coming years. Lenny and Michelle leave the 19th to pick up their daughter. Everyone is thrilled to meet her. I think the race is closer than the polls have shown, so I am curious who will win. I hope it does not drag on real late into the night or that I can stay up if it does:)
What a weekend. Start off with Trick or Treating with the Prossers and friends, then reshingle the roof with my parents. Corey has been working real hard lately both on the farm and around here. If anyone has been to my parents house in the summer you know what I mean...its an ice box:) Last weekend we went home and it was so much fun. I went bowling with my sister and in my old age I think I pulled something in my back while doing so. I got a few strikes and spares...those Willmar bowling lessons must have paid off. Carter did wonderful his first day of preschool and I enjoyed my three hours of freedom:) I had a date at starbucks with Cole. It is nice to get that alone time with him the way I got it with Carter. It was exciting to hop on the scale and see I am within a few pounds of my pre Evan weight - yeah! I had a break through moment this weekend - I finally removed Evans birth/death announcement from the fridge. Every time I would go to take it down I couldn't. Its the only picture I have of him and I feel if its out of sight that he will become out of mind. Although, there is still not one day that goes by that I do not think of what he would be like or doing at the age he would be. On the positive side, every time I get a little sad about it, I look at Cole and am thankful God gave him to us! If Evan would have lived, I would have missed out on my other son. Its a weird feeling to process, but I am sure as more time passes it will get easier and easier.

TGIF! I am so happy the weekend is almost here. I have concluded that I hate projects around the house. They always end up taking more time and money than planned. Oh well, it will be worth it when we are all done with the bathroom.
Carter had his school orientation yesterday and he loved the classroom and kids. I hope that continues for him - how exciting! I am so amazed how fast the boys are growing up. I need to really take time to enjoy the moments I have with them while they're little like this.

The basement bathroom floor is done - thank you Corey:) Why the previous owners put carpet half way into a bathroom is beyond me - yuck! All we need to do is paint and decorate. I can handle that part. It was nice to get out yesterday and meet my ladies for supper, but Cole wanted me home. Poor Corey, Cole was screaming at the top of his lungs for a long time. He was just calming down when I came in the door. The few bites of food I had were very nummy. Oh well, there will be other girls nights -lets make sure of it Kelly, Jo and Sarah! I love those nights out. It was fun to get all dressed up and celebrate their day. I was one of the last people to leave the dance floor - I was yawning, but I was still dancing! Amelia looked stunning!!!!! Her smile, dress, hair and makeup was amazing.
We decided to go to the state fair the next day and it was nummy as always. I have to say my favorite was the fried fruit on a stick. I mean half of it was healthy. We had to buy our traditional foods such as pronto pups, cheese curds and martha's cookies. We saw a calf being born in the barn and Carter cried with horror on the mini motorcycle ride. He said they were scary - maybe Corey will think the same and quit nudging for a bike:)
Corey decided today would be a great day to remodel the downstairs bathroom and I am so excited to get another project checked off the list. He just finished rebuilding and painting our fence, so on to the bathroom he goes. I hope he stays motivated to finish the bathroom sooner than later b/c it sounds exhausting to me. I am on board though.

I made it thru the dr. appointments. Cole did pretty good getting his shots and Carter was amazing at the dentist. He was such a good little boy! The dentist and everyone there could not stop talking about how well he did! I am so happy that he was not horrified - it makes me more comfortable to take him to his next appointment.
I walked around lake harriet today and it made me realize how much I love my neighborhood! The lakes are so beautiful and I am amazed how many people are out running and swimming on a weekday afternoon. The summer is going by way too fast, but its getting closer to the state fair and that is always a treat. Want to meet me there this year Kelly? I can't promise I will actually be there:)

The summer is flying by way too fast!! Barry's wedding was So much fun and now its time to focus on Amelia's wedding. I am so excited to be her bridesmaid. Just think 10 years ago we were hanging out in our dorm room together - good times:) She has an infectious laugh. Everyone needs a friend with a great laugh.
My 30th birthday party was fun. It is truly a joy to hang out with all my friends. It is getting harder to stay up late with all the little ones, but they were troopers. I am blessed with a great set of friends - thanks guys! My sister came up on my actual birthday and we got to spend the day together - what a gal. She is so animated and fun to hang out with. I think she spent most of the time laughing at me. I think hanging out with me and the boys for two days took away any desire to have kids in the near future:)
This week is a week of Dr. appointments. Tomorrow Cole gets his 4 month shots and Thursday Carter gets his first of several cavities filled. I pray both go smoothly. Its amazing how much you can care for another person - I hurt knowing my children are going to hurt. I know its for their own good and protection, but I want to take the pain for them. Its just shots and cavities, but I am hormonal and its getting late - so my perspective is out of wack - I better get some sleep....and its only 9:45...yup, I am getting old! :)
Keep Katherine (Barry's wife) and her father in your prayers as they both continue to recover from kidney transplant surgery. Praise God that everything is so far so good.

Today is the day of Kat's surgery. I do have to say Corey looked pretty handsome as did Carter - they both have great smiles. This is new to me, but I want to stay on top of it. Life has been busy with two weddings coming up. I am so excited for barry's wedding this weekend. It is always fun getting to jam at a wedding dance. It will be fun to get dressed up and watch Carter walk down the isle as the ring bearer - who knows what he will do or say. It will be cute though! My 30th birthday is coming up and I am still in shock that I will be exiting my 20's. I look at Staci and Scot in their early 20's and I swear that was me just a year ago. Time goes by so fast as the years pass by - it is crazy fast!

Baby Baron was born! I had a lot of help from family, but it was still a lot of work without their daddy. Mom and Staci were on a mission to get me some color, which they did. Too bad they gave me the wrong color at the tanning salon. I am more pink than golden brown - what kind of a business are they running? :) It was fun to be back home again and spend time with everyone.
